Personal background
I am 17 and am currently in my senior year in the IB program at PHS. In my few waking moments that i am not working on school work, i am usually surfing the web or bowling with my friends. I collect almost anything, especially star wars stuff. anything by JRR Tolkeine is great too. I would say that one of the things that i anticipate the most would be the december release of the Lord of the Rings movie.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Being a devoted creationist, i am hesitant to attach myself to any one side. however, i do feel that there are things not of this galaxy in the galaxy. Biblically, there must be aliens since an alien would be one not of this world. angels would fit the bill nicely but, that's another debate in itself. I run seti@home becuase i needed a screen saver and think that the graphs look neat. not me mention i have a valid excuse to keep my computer running all the time. As for the out-bound beacon stuff, why not? I would say that caution should be used in identifying our co-ordinates but who's to say that an alien super-race uses our own arbitrarily devised labeling system. Though, i would much rather our first impression be something along the lines of "we come in peace." as opposed to some of that crap the pop music industry cranks out.
