Profile: Splent

Personal background
Well, I go to Millikin University, and I am a Freshman. I am a music education major, vocal emphasis. Thats about it, except that I stayed up until 5:30 watching the meteor shower which was fun, but it was cloudy, but you could still see some! It was awesome. Picture of that is above, I am the guy with the glasses.
And since reading other profiles and everyone says what their computer is, I will tell you. Don't laugh, it was cheap and I am in college so there. It is an eMachines with an 800MHz Intel Celeron processor and 128 MB of memory. And as a matter of fact, yes it is new I just got it at the end of August 2001.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET, I believe, is somewhere out there. It will be a long long time before we discover it, because some of the things we are doing are only possible of discovering ETs that are as, if not more intellegent that us. maybe there are worlds out there with technology not advanced enough to intercept signals. but i think seti@home is sweet because I feel like Im helping science, no matter how slow my computer is sometimes.
