Personal background
I am a 20 year old student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I am studying mechanical engineering. I found out about this little project about a year ago and I was very interested but I forgot the name of the site, what a bummer. Now I have this great software and im helping out a cool cause. I enjoy ice hockey, mountain biking and vintage dirtbike racing. I have always been intrigued by all kinds of mysterious things like bigfoot, the lockness monster and all kinds of that weird stuff. Welp I hope my little contribution helps out.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course I think there is life out there! It would be crazy to think in this HUGE universe there wasnt life on another planet. If I had to guess id say we will find any life out there when space exploration really gets moving in terms of cheap, powerful and fast spacecraft. I think we should definately send out some kind of siganl in order to attract our neighbors. As to the content of that signal ill leave it up the the experts. I run this program mainly because I like the idea that the information my computer is running through could answer the great question. I think this is a really great project and id like to see this site advertised more. I know lots of people who would sign up for this if they knew about it.
