Personal background
I'm 15 years old, I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina (In South America, for the culturally challenged), and I've been living the the United States for almost three years now. I Enjoy making computer programs, playing computer games, almost anything to do with a computer. That includes installing SETI@Home on any computer I'm allowed to install it on...I only have it running on one computer at this time (My Computer).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that There are extraterrestrial life forms out there on this universe of ours. But, if they are intelligent life forms, they are the ones that are going to establish first contact with us, not the other way around. An that will not happen until they sense that they will be welcomed here, not hunted down until extinction. Whenever first contact happens, we probably might get some new technologies to help us all, but then again, that might be a plan for a passive overtake of our planet by adding a bad effect to their good technology.

I think that humans should send a beacon for others to find, only that it should be launched whenever world peace is achieved, so whenever the beacon is found, it will not deter whoever finds the beacon from contacting earth. Should such a beacon ever be launched, it should contain the peaks and depths of world and human history and evolution. That is so that whenever found, the beacon will give whoever finds it a brief (sort of) view of our world.

I first started running S@H because my computer was way too fast for DOS games to run properly, so I ran it to reduce the CPU power available to DOS. Then, I began to get interested in this project, and let it run whenever the PC was on, now, Leave the PC on 24/7 with S@H running. My main suggestion for improvement of this project is adding the ability to process more than one work unit at a time on the same computer, at the same time.
