Profile: Josef Faulkner

Personal background
I'm a software developer living in South Florida. I am fairly good at getting around in UNIX and I enjoy writing low-level software in plain old ANSI C, and doing web stuff (especially DHTML) in JSP/HTML. My favorite movie is Contact, and Carl Sagan is one of my favorite people of all time. One of my dream jobs would be in the field of Astronomy, but for now I'm working to pay the bills. S@H is about the most I can contribute for now.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There must be life, and somewhere there is intelligent life. The question is if there is any intelligent life near enough to us to detect it, and if they even bother using RF or have they advanced far beyond that technology.
