| Personal background |
I am currently residing in Severn, MD. I enlisted in the Navy in 1970 and retired in 1990 as a Chief Radioman. I am a 100% Disabled Veteran and Mr. Mom. My spouse runs her own business so she stays busy.
In my spare time, I enjoy NASCAR races. I go to several races each year. Nothing beats being there. I also enjoy camping and fishing and do as much as I can when I am feeling ok.
I also do volunteer work in my county. I am in a group of 4WD owners that assist doctors, nurses, etc get to work during sever storms in the winter. I am also a Reserve Police Officer in the county. We provide assistance in the various districts and also direct traffic in time of emergencies. Our time donated to the program frees up regular police officers to take care of the more serious problems that my arise in the county. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
| I for one do not believe that we can be the only intelligent life in this vast universe of ours. Our planet is but a drop of water in the ocean when compared to the rest of the universe. There are countless solar systems out there and somewhere out there the conditions for life exist. Whether that life is the same as ours is something to be seen. |
