Profile: Astrid Friesen

Personal background
Hi everybody!

My name is Astrid and I am in my final year at University of Regina in the Faculty of Engineering majoring in Environmental Systems.
I have been a Seti@home user since 1999 and a member of The Abducted since then too. In fact I cocreated our website that has since been shut down. If I ever get time, I'll put it up again.

I've got tons of hobbies and interests but it seems like I never have enough time for them. They include movies, books, music (everything but Country, boy bands, and Britney Spears), some TV (Law and Order, CSI, Survivor, The Simpsons, Star Trek, and The X-Files), sewing and making crafts, and swimming and curling.

Anyway, that is all I have to say now. Peace.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think every computer should use its downtime in a useful way. That is one of the largest reasons why I run seti@home. The idea of finding ET is just a great bonus. I admit that I like the idea of having life elsewhere in the universe.
