Personal background
I'm 20 years old and I'm going to attend Liberty University in the fall (2002) and study computer science. I hope to get into the air force and eventually be a fighter pilot(w00t).

Right now I work for a rental car company that is locally owned.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm not really sure whether I think ET exists or not. On one hand, we live in a HUGE universe, and it'd be kinda selfish and rather foolish to think we are the only beings that inhabit it. On the other, I'm a firm believer in God, the Bible, and His plan for each person's life. This makes it difficult to believe either way--I'm not really sure--If we find some ET, yippee. If not, I'll be dead in another 60 years and it won't matter then =).

Sure, humans should send a beacon out into space. Why not? It's not like it will hurt anyone--that is unless we tick off an angry Alien Species--eek.

I run SETI@home just for the fun of it. I can run it in the background 24/7 and still play my hardcore games, talk on the 'net, and do whatever else I need to do. I think it's a pretty cool project, and I believe that if we do find ET it will be worthwhile...until then, I guess it's just another way to spend money.
