Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home?
Although I do find the odds of SETI detecting extraterrestrial intelligence extremely low using this method in our lifetimes, or any method we as humans currently have at our disposal, I think their ambition is admirable, so why not let them use my PC's resources when I'm not using them? If they are successful, I don't mind eating crow. I'd relish it.

What are your views about the project?
It's a start, and every project needs a start. It may be the equivalent of a think tank of dogs trying to understand the doorknob principle, but give us a few million years...

Any suggestions?
Give me a few million years to ponder that question.
