Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Q1 Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

Yes, When our government wants us know about it. I believe the US government already has a treaty with them. The dangers are the foundations of religion would crumble.

Q2 Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

Yes and No. It would be a neat idea, but if they are able to travel here, meaning they are superior in technology than us, well, history has shown that the less technological group does not fair very well. Best to just listen.

Q3 Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

I am for debunking religions and this would help. It could find someone like us a long time ago, but if you could travel faster than the speed of light then so would your messages. Need to be able to detect faster than light communications.
