| Hello, My name is Mike. First off I would like to let you know that I have 3 computers currently processing seti@home work units. I have a 1.3 Ghz P4, 1 Ghz Athlon, and a 900 Mhz Celeron. I usually try to run Seti@Home all the time, but i do like to own all of my cpu power sometimes but my computers fair very well with seti running, I rarely need 100% of cpu power on my athlon and celeron machine so I leave them running the most. I do like to keep my P4 machine Seti Free when i run cpu intensive applications and games, but then seti goes back up when I'm finished. I also like to give my lapop a rest once and a while, but i work the shit out of my athlon machine (it can handle it), I got that machine stocked with plently of fans to keep it running nice and cool. I also plan on getting seti running on my Dreamcast pretty soon :D through linux. |

| SETI is great. Though I do feel this is not the way we will discover ET's, I believe any ET's sharing this galaxy with us are most likely lower life forms, considering how evolve-friendly our world is opposed to all the other planets in our galaxy. And I feel Higher Life forms from further reaches of the universe have yet to discover us because they are just so far away, considering the meteor belt surrounding out galaxy is so thick and probably doesn't end for a very long time. But I support Seti because Im obviously not say Im 100% right, that is just my own theory. I think it would be wonderful if seti uncovered something really BIG... Good luck Seti Team! Ill always donate my cpu time. |
