Since I can't think of anything really intelligent to say I'll just stick to the suggested topics...:
I do believe that extraterrestrial life exists, it would be preposterous to think otherwise in you large universe.
It is very difficult to decide whether to send a beacon or not, since you cannot tell if the life form that finds it is friendly towards us or not. I think I'll pass on that question to the philosophers...
I started using SETI@home because it felt like a cool (and maybe useful) way to spend your otherwise wasted CPU time... Of course, I, like most other users hope that it will be I myself (or rather my computer) that discovers a signal... |
