Personal background
I was born in 1972 in Southern California USA. I have since moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where I now work for the Gaming Industry as a Computer Technician and Systems Administrator. Most of the SETI work units are crunched on my work computer when I'm not using it.

I started using computers when I was 11 years old back in 1983. From then on I became very interested in computer and telecommunication technology. I was amazed at how a computer could transfer data over the telephone lines.

My first computer system was a Commodore VIC-20 which I soon replaced with a Commodore 64. I spent many long hours in front of that machine teaching myself the programming language BASIC, using a 300-baud modem to connect to computer bulletin board systems (BBS), and playing games.

I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), A Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a CompTIA Network + Certified Professional, and a CompTIA A+ Certified Computer Technician.

I have been assembling, upgrading, repairing and troubleshooting computers since 1991.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

I run SETI@home, because I'm all for finding life outside of Earth. Running SETI@home allows me to do my little part to help out in this search. May we find life, may it be intelligent and friendly, and may it bring peace to our world when it happens.

The SETI@Home project has brought people together from all over the world to contribute to one task. For me, this is the greatest thing that SETI@Home has done. Using the spare CPU cycles in computers all over the world to accomplish this task is just pure genius. It has shown us that other projects can be done in this fashion as well. Using the computer power of the world to accomplish necessary tasks is a step forward for the human race, and to bring ordinary people together from all over the world to do it and make them a part of it brings us just that much closer to global peace.

I applaud each and every one of you that are working on the SETI@Home project. Keep up the good work. One day, we will all find E.T.
