Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I run SETI at home because I believe in possibilities. The possibility of other life just happens to be the one that SETI strikes in me. I think that if we could detect other life outside our planet perhaps the world would be sa better place knowing that we are not alone and that all the squabbling between peoples can stop. I also think it would be a huge boost for the extraplanetary activities like habitats on Mars or the Moon, or interstellar travel. To know that things are possible is a powerful mover that could revitalize humanity. |
