Personal background
I live in Voorburg in the Netherlands. I work as a statistical analyst at Statistics Netherlands (CBS).
I am mainly involved in environmental statistics.

I am interested in space related science; things like black holes, the big bang, worm holes, etc. There are still many questions about space unanswerd.

An interesting topic is (saw a documentary on Discovery Channel about this):
The rate of expansion of the universe is still accelerating (based on . This does not comply with the big bang theory. A possible explanation could be that the speed of light is constant but can change. An increase in the speed of light would increase the amount of energy and thus fuel the acceleration of the expansion of space.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I read about s@h in a magazine. Because I am running a web server at home, my computer is running most of the time doing nothing. So I set it to work on s@h.

I think there is a possibility that there is live out there. On the other hand it is hard to imagine what kind of live. Conditions have to be right to develop live. Conditions have to be right maintain live. Conditions have to be right for live to develop "intelligence".
What's live anyway??? What's intelligence anyway???
