Ride a Honda Goldwing motorcycle for fun and pleasure and enjoy taking 2,000 to 3,000 mile trips. Live in Columbia, SC. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Saw an article in the newspaper about SETI@home and thought, "Now that is a great way to search the universe, let the public be involved, and utilize a virtually unlimited resource to do it.
2. It is my way of contributing to the project. It is pretty cool to watch the program run. I am competative and like to watch my rank rise with each work unit completed. The project is worthwhile because it is very probable that life does exist elsewhere.
3. If they are out there, they may be no more advanced than we are. Evolution of another planet would probably be very similar to ours. The danger is to NOT be in the position to make such a discovery. And, we should transmit our own signal. |
