Personal background
My first encounters with real-life space tracking were with school here in Australia. With an excursion to the Radio Telescopes at Parkes and the Sydney Observatory. I found the worlds outside our own fascinating and stunning to look at. Not to mention the incredible technology and the damn big dish and telescope too!! Also my logic dictated that we simply could not be the only Intelligent Life in the Universe. Hence my curiosity has finally found an outlet in SETI and contributing to "The Search".

Also I love the idea of filling the formerly "useless" processing time of computers with something functional and beneficial for more than the individual. It's fantastic to see how many others in this small world of ours share a common interest.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe ET exists, although as to how and were the mind boggles. Looking at our planets own evolution it is hard to imagine other planets being "in sync" or similar to our own. I believe humans will most likely discover it in some form or other within the next 1000 years. Mainly due to what must really be our own technological infancy.
