Personal background
Hi, Stevie Copleand, i am from Ireland, aged 35, and have been in the IT industry for over 15 years. Interested in this SETI as i Strongly believe that there has to BE other forms of life in this universe, that why i do this. Running this program on an Athlon64 3200 WinXP with 512megs of ram.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. yes i think there are other lfe forms, i personally think they will find us, as i still think we are too primative in our fields of study in the universe. both benefits and dangers, i think are the same, sharing technology.

2. yes, actually i thought that we were already doing that?, i suppose anything how are we to know wat civilization will make of it, how do we prove wat we send will be picked up as a sign of intelligents, though i think that in sending anything at all, show we have some capibility in the fields of science.

3. i run it at home to help you lot out as you need all the resources you can get, sometimes i wish i could do more. my views are, i think the project is amazing, in that i am acutally processing radio waves from space, and although i dont no the odds, but there is a small chance that i might find something out there, suggesting, can u make a 64bit version,

stevie
