Hello There,
I am Marc Mazur from Toronto. I now live in Atlanta, USA for work. I have been invovled with Seti@home for a number of years under different IDs after seeing a Star Trek Movie that advertised Seti. Needless to say, I have not found anything yet.
I work for a large transport company based in Atlanta with operations in 200 countries.
My interests are varied and include French Horn, hockey, amateur astronomy and pub crawling. I wonder if they drink beer?
That is my story and I am sticking to it.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I believe as a matter of faith there are others out there, as a matter of science, I don't know. I think if indeed intelligent or perhaps not so intelligent life is out there, it will be discovered and research long before you or I will hear about it. This would probably be the US governement's doing to supposedly limit possible hysteria.
It would be an excellent idea for humans to transmit a beacon to space. Perhaps they are looking for us as well. When they pickup our radio and television signals they may think us some very bizarre species. The beacon could transmit useful information. What you rather have them pickup first, some general data about us or a bad episode of COPS?
