While cruising around back alleys and down dark streets, being guided only by the pale moon, and wondering where I am going, and where I have been, I realize, suddenly, that I have obviously been pulled along by alien tractor beams, if not living an existence that is nothing more than a giant experiment by some cruel master. By running Seti I hope to find the phone number for said evil manipulators so I can call them up and give them a piece of my mind.

I occasionally wonder if Seti really is searching for extraterrestrial life, or if it might not be a giagantic computer program trying to write the perfect code for Pac Man. But hey, I like Pac Man, and he looks like an alien.
I also think there is something out there, and I figure if I can be in on the ground floor of finding it all the better.
