Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think Extraterrestrial Life exists?

Well yes I think if you take the immensly vast amount of space out there and think that we as a race are the only intelligence well to quote a film "it would be an awful waste of space". I'm not to sure on some people's opinions on when we will discover alien life, if we haven't already, but at the current rate of human development in the science I would like to think that it will be in the next 100 year, at least that way I might get to experience it. How is a completley different matter. The benefits are probably just as great as the dangers, but in this life we have to deal with things how and when they happen to the best of our abilities.

Should Humans Transmit a Beacon?

I don't see why not, I mean communication is the core of our society and if we expect to seek out others then we should at least attempt to communicate with them, I think it would be nice for it to contain a greeting of welcome from all the different cultures of our planet, or something along those lines.

Why Do I Run Seti?

well I run seti for the reason that if there is a chance that we can discover an alien race, we need all the people possible trying to help, as so much data is collected the chances of discovery increase with every little help.
