Profile: Richard Bilyeu

Personal background
I was born in January of 1954, in Portland, Oregon and by the age of 4 was fascinated by all things
paranormal. This, of course, was limited to what I saw on T.V.. As I grew older
I came to discover that not all was fiction. I had several encounters with the
unexplained. They changed my life. Participating in the SETI@Home project is
just a natural extension of my own personal explorations. I'm currently running SETI using a Pentium III, 667mhz chip, having graduated from a Pentium 200 mhz machine. I am currently an advocate and volunteer of Dr. Stephen Greer's, Disclosure Project, which is the call for open Congressional hearings regarding UFOs. I see this as yet another doorway to the truth.
I'm also well read and highly opinionated. I am a talk radio junkie and chronic
caller. The cell phone has released me to weigh in on a variety of subjects,
averaging 4-5 calls per week to local talk. I have a distinctive voice and am
often recognized out in public when people hear me speak. I find it somewhat flattering. So I find it's only natural that I joined TEAM TALK RADIO.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
To the points.
1. MSNBC.com ran an article about an upcoming project called SETI@Home. When the
project began I discovered that I didn't have the RAM to run the software, so
I didn't join until I upgraded in August of '99.
2. I run and believe in SETI because it's a possible doorway to the truth. It may not work. We
may be searching for signs of a technology that advanced races may have discarded
tens of thousands of years ago. Still, there is just a chance.
3. I have every reason to believe that we are not alone. I further believe that
"they" have always been here. That "they" visit us to this very day. I remain
uncertain as to their motives. I can only hope for the best but I am aware of evidence
that may suggest otherwise. I would also submit that sending a signal is dangerous as we are a young race. The point may be moot, however, as I believe one or more E.B.E.s are all ready aware of our existance.
