Personal background
I work PT as a Programmer/Analyst for the campus library at the University of California Santa Cruz. I've got dual nationality with the US and Brazil, I'm 22, got a few months left to graduate as a comp sci major; I'm married, yes you read correctly, I'm married at 22, but it's to a lovely, extremely hot brazilian so i'm not complaining.
I enjoy hanging with my wife, gaming, mixing music (mainly european techno), reading sci-fi and cyberpunk; Right now I'm reading the Dune novels; all of them from start to finish, including the ones by the son. Hey if we don't find any aliens, we'll just have to populate the universe ourselves like in the universe of Dune ...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I want some aliens! not some stupid ones either, some smart ones!

This project is of great importance. I think that as humans we know a small fraction of reality in terms of what is going on in the universe. all we have are our 5 senses ... it seems to me we're missing something. plus given the size of the universe (and who said there's only one, how could we possibly know?), it seems likely for another intelligent life form to exist.
where did the universe come from initially? did something start the process? there's so many questions i have ....
