Professionally I am a computer geek.
My passions are photography, camping, hiking, national parks. I try to camp in one of the U.S. national parks every summer. This year my kids and I camped in Yosemite.
I love coaching recreational soccer.
I like to read sci-fi when I get the time. My user name is from the Heechee series of books by Frederik Pohl.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I have been a full-time cruncher for SETI@home since 1999.
I don't believe that it is possible that we are the only intelligent creatures in this vast universe. However, I think that finding them is going to take some kind of leap in knowledge on our part. I am hopeful that we will discover them in my lifetime. |
