Personal background
My name is what?! Will the real Slim Shady, shut the hell up! My name is Aaron. I live in Rhode Island, the piss ant state, and I love it here. I'm a car audio nut. Actually, I'm a car ANYTHING nut. I also love computers. I sell pimpd out PC's over the net and locally. I'm currently running an Athlon XP 2000 overclocked to 2400... I think. I honestly can't remember what I have it set to at this point. I just know I BURY all those Intel boys in 3dMark. I have a measly 128 megs of RAM right now, but that will change... hopefully within the next 10 seconds if I have my way. >:-\| But I have a new Radeon 8500 which I also have overclocked. And both the CPU and video card have custom built Peltier assemblies on them. And my next project is to rip the compressor set out of a cube refrigerator and AC my whole computer. On the car side I plan on dropping a 302 out of a Stang into my Bronco II.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Is there extraterrestrial life? Wow! There's a BIG yes. It's a near mathematical impossibility that mor elife does not exist. The mere thought that we are alone smacks of religious rhetoric, and is a monumentally conceted thought in, and of, itself. With billions of possibly hapitable planets out there, and with life trying to take hold ALL the time from countless angles. Anyone who thinks about it, I feel, will conclude that life IS out there. And to help other species I believe we should transmit a beacon, preferably from the dark side of the moon. And it should have transmit with a basic mathematical key which could be used to decode data that would translate into pictures, coordinates, and if possible, music. Music should be sent to communicate that we are not only inteligent, but "cultured" as well. Showing we are not violent but creatures of thought and understanding. Hopefully they will not show up during a UFC fight or a big Soccer game in Britain because they will immediately see we were lying. :)
