Well, I'm 18 and a freshman at the University of Illinois at Chicago..



My main interests are computers...

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I personally don't see another being quite as amazing as humans existing elsewhere in the universe.. but that sure is a lot of wasted space if you ask me...



there's probably some one-celledish type life at the very least out there.. we just need to come together as a species and explore our universe in one gigantic team rather than 'racing' against each other..



Beacon idea.. yeah.. I like it.. stick with the math concepts.. that makes sense to me and I think aliens would at least understand something like binary 1 or 0... then move on to counting.. then basic arithemetic and so on..



I run SETI 'cause it doesn't hinder anything else on my computer and with an ethernet connection as long as SETI uses the internet every 10 hours or so I don't have to re-log on for inactivity =)
