Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In all the trillions of stars - Out of the billions of galaxy’s - of the Millions of planets it is arrogant to believe “MAN” is the only intelligent creation to inhabit a planet amongst the vastness of the Universe. I feel we are just a minuscule portion of the life yet to be discovered out there. It is most likely entire civilizations have began - lived - and faded to forgotten nothingness in the coldness of space and march of time. Projects such as Seti bring hope that one day we will hear that faint voice in the storm - reaching out across the distance to bring us our answer “you are not alone”. On that day man will no longer be the center of his own universe. It would force us to start to get alone with each other, cause we just became a part of a much grander community - one amongst the stars.
