Personal background |
I'm from Derby, which is right in the middle of England, it's an ok place. I'm 17 in Jan 2004 and I'm currently A Lavels in Physics, Maths, Geography and History.
I'm dead interested in astronomy and all that, mostly because of how incredibly incomprehensible most of it is. For example, trying to imagine the distance between us and our nearest neighbour star, Proxima Centauri (4 light years I believe??) is impossible.
My all time fave thing to do is skiing, best place I've been to is Courcheval in France where there were three valleys to explore. I love the views, the risk, the snow and the speed hehe!! I also like playing golf (slight contrast there!) and I'm a member of the Air Training Corps (air cadets basically)
In the future I want to be a pilot. That sounds sooooo chessy but I'm dead serious about it. Hoping to either fund my training myself (very expensive: £50k ) or join the Royal Air Force and then move on to civil aviation if i wanna!
That's about it for me, hope you enjoyed lol! |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I applaud the guy/gal who came up with the whole idea, it's and excellent way of making people's computers more efficient.
We should send a beacon out to others, with stuff like our location and a frequency they should contact us on. How cool would it be if we started 'chattin' to extra terrestrial blokes?
I run SETI@Home so that my computer processor power is always doing somethin useful and none of it is wasted (I run it all the time you see), and I think it would be cool (however unlikely) if I discovered something!! |
