Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I firmly believe that extraterrestial life exists somewhere in the universe. What are the chances that we are alone?

The problem is that I don't see much chance that we will ever detect or even get in contact with aliens because of the huge distances between the stars. Listening to the sounds of space, like we do with Seti, means a slight possibility to get to know whether or where there could be intelligent life nearby. However, the signals will probably be thousands of years old.

But we can try, can't we? That's why I participate with Seti. If we don't try, we will never have a chance.
