I have no idea if the galaxy is teeming with life or if earth is the only place in our galaxy (and perhaps universe) where there is life. If intelligent aliens do exist, it's hard to explain why finding a signal or two has been so difficult. If we are alone, that is even more mind boggling. Since there is no evidence for other life yet, it sure is shameful the way our species wastes so much time in petty squabbling.
