Personal background
I am a 34 year old Business Analyst with Brisbane City Council (Queensland, Australia). I have had a break from using seti@home for a while during a computer rebuild. My first attempt at building a Game machine (dual Athlon mp1800 in a tyan thunder k7 motherboard, 256mb pc2100 registered ddr, gforce 4 ti 4400 in an enermax server case)with the new box up and running it was time to re-establish my seti@home client, its good to be back :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think ET's exist, simply yes. I have the opinion that there are just too many planets out there that could have had the same processes that Earth has, and a bunch of stuff has happened that may point to some level of contact but who really knows about that?

Should we send signals to ET's, I am fairly antisocial amongst humans so I dont see that as being different with ET's, I have not been able to think of anything worthwile to say to them, has anyone else?

I run seti@home because I belive that there is life out there and I would like to see confirmation of that. I also belive that every little bit counts and I am doing my little bit. It is my hope that seti@home is a raging success and is the first to confirm sentient life out there in the universe, it is my hope that the sponsorships ensure that continuing search is possible and that people out there continue to use the seti@home client to help in the search.

My suggestion, keep on keeping on.
