Personal background
The basic; I am a 37 year old single father with two wonderful daughters. I live and play in Southern California. I have a few jobs, technical recruiter (read headhunter), systems administrator and I work part time for a local shooting range. I have been interested in SETI since I was very young, but only started working on SETI Classic in 2000. There was an “In Search Of” episode that peaked my initial interest and “The Art Bell Show” helped keep the thoughts alive.

I build my own computers for hobby and also the systems that we use where I work. This has been a long time hobby for me, as has target shooting. I am fairly good with a wrench and have built an off-road vehicle that my kids and I use to explore the deserts of the Southwest. The wide open spaced of the desert give you a chance to ponder, while the computers do the crunching.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run the programs because I am truly interested in the search for extra terrestrial life. I look out into the sky on a clear night and simply cannot fathom that we are alone. All of that space!

The project has been fun to participate in. It allows the average person to be a part of a larger effort. I honestly cannot answer whether when we will find proof, but I believe that we will eventually.
