I'm an average sort of person.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) I think that, as the universe is so big, statistically there has to be somebody else somewhere. We could discover them tomorrow or it may take hundreds if not thousands of years. The benefits could be incalcuable, the dangers lie in our own minds.

2) Yes, we should leave a beacon.

3) I run SETI@home because it is a postive research project.
