Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always believed in the concept of life beyond our small pond. I hope that my tiny contribution will in some small way move humankind one step closer to meeting the neighbors. I think we should do as much as possible to reach out to other intelligent life. We live on a beautiful, blue planet that just happens to be swirling in a storm of potential lethal asteroids and comets. To ensure our long-term survival we need outside expertise - we are not doing a good job as sheperds of our planet.
