Personal background
Computer Nut since the early days of PC's self taught and self employed in industry for 16 years.
Recently changed to Aviation industry, auditing heavy aircraft, redelivery of leased aircraft etc.
Have always been mad keen on US Space Program since school project the year of the first lunar landing. Visited the Cape, Huntsville AL, Houston centres some years ago on holiday.
Personal Hero - Michael Collins (Apollo 11 Command Module Pilot) since reading his recently republished book "Carrying the Fire".
Avid interest in "unexplained events in history", visited Easter Island 1978, Macchu Picchu, Giza Pyramids etc.
Married with 2 daughters (started late on this adventure).
Hope commercialisation of space travel happens in affordable fashion before I am too old to experience it first hand. Hold Private Pilot's Licence.
Have been reading R A Heinlein's books since I was a teenager. Am still reading them again and again as a young aged person ! Miss the man and his writing intensely. Thank Goodness he produced so many works of SF.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
By all means we should try and send messages but let's get our planet in order before we expect to hear anything back.

Hey if you looked down at the nutso's running around on this world would you stop by for a visit ? I think not !

But if I can help by running a process when my machine sits idle I am only to happy to do it.

I preferred the old classic system but c'est la guerre !
