My name is Stefan, I was born in 1959 and live in Timrå, Sweden. I work as a systems manager (IT) at Sveriges Radio (Swedish Broadcasting Corporation).
I am interested in most technical and scientific things. I joined SETI@home in May, 1999 and in the beginning I ran the client at a number of computers at work, as well as at home. Unfortunately, my employer found out that this was against their policies, so now I only participate from my small home network.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it is exciting to contribute to this interesting project. Both the scientific part (are there any E.T:s ? :) and the concept with distrbuted computation.
As far as I can see, it has very good intentions, and keeps on developing new methods and ideas.
Maybe we could get some more news from the project, a monthly email or something like that?
