Personal background
female aussie interested in all things extra terrestrial with both feet firmly planted on terra firma. I have had several interesting experiences with unknown and unindentifiable events. Always believed that we are not alone-to think that we could be the only lifeform? well that IS a lonely thought.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
absolutely no doubt in my mind that there is something / some one else out there. many of us are afraid of change.to expect that all humans should send a beacon would be a stretch for some . For those of us not afraid ..there is the SETI project. The project shows that the lights are on and someone is home.
I feel certain that we will have overwhelming proof soon that we are not alone. Proof that will once and for all NOT be concealed and denied by our governments and our defence forces. The ramifications of finding extraterrestrial life will be huge -there is no getting away from that- even for us die hard believers! We will just have to cross that bridge when we come to . The biggest issue I see is that we must ensure that we have a peacable and non threatening approach to whatever we find. This could be difficult as we humans can be pretty scary, even to ourselves. With this in mind I am declining to post a picture of myself just yet, dont want to scare any aliens away.
