Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.
Q: Does extraterrestial life exist ?
A: I think that ET life forms are out there somewhere for sure ! I think that humans will find 'em withing the next 50 years or even faster. Perhaps someone have already found one, but who knows...

Benefits: possibility to
-increase our knowledge and know-how
-expand our mind and consciousness
-increase our treatment to fellow-men as humans and to strenghten solidarity among different nations

To conclude: to save the world ;).

Dangers:
-fear and anxiety
-radical change of peoples' outlook of life
-collapse of different religions
-in the worst case: world wide riots and wars

2.
Q: Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

A: As a wery wise man once upon a time said, 'To boldly go where no man has gone before' (Star Trek).

That beacon should contain the most important parts of our life, like the main life forms, the location of the Earth and it should some how manage to inform that we come in peace.

3.
Q: Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project?
A: I run seti@home because I'm very eager with the topic and believe that with more computing power we'll manage to find out at least some kind of articifial signals outside the Earth.
