Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?

After questioning myself about the possibilities of life after death almost all my life, i have started to doubt about the possibility of life after birth. Lets take one planet at a time.

If so, when and how will humans discover it?

When we are done discovering ourselves and if we would survive the experience ... well thats just too big of an if to just pass by, but any how if so, the humans will be discovered.

What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

In this current state of our evolution, although so curious, we still are afraid of the dark. This natural fear nurses a natural reaction that we so absently walk by every day and we do so because its so ... natural. This reaction also called racism (not by definition) could be one of the problems of a such discovery, even if they are the peaceful superintelligent shining happy little green men that we hope they are. On the flip side it could be the ultimate thing to unite us. Still quite depressing that we still shuld need a common enemy to be friends.

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?

Why not.

If so, what information should we send?

Help!

Why do you run SETI@home?

"Man ettefaghan onaro hamishe az bachegi delam khaste bebinam. Hihihi:) Jeddi intori bode man hamishe delam khaste" -Miss.1&20

What are your views about the project?

As always, if you or any other member of your team is captured, the IMF Bureau will disregard all knowledge of your existence and your mission. This message will selfdistruct in 5seconds. Goodluck Jim!
