| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Ofcourse I believe that extraterrestrial life exists, why would I else join SETI? I think that not believing in extraterrestrial life, is a very selfish way of thinking. We are not so special that we would like to believe. The question is, will we ever find it? Someday perhaps, if we haven't blown ourselves to pieces by then.
If we ever do find life out there, I'm afraid that many people will be scared, and will not accept this. Unfortunately, it is in the human nature to be afraid of the unknown.
I run SETI@Home, because I believe in the possibility of extraterrestrial life, and it would be cool if we ever found a signal, now wouldn't it? |
