Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe EBL's excist, many people have claims of contact. However false those accounts may be, we cannot dismiss the following;
There are perhaps several million stars to the eye on a super dark night,
a very high percentage of those are said (by reputable scientists) to have planetary bodies in orbit around them,
This alone could calculate to well over 5,000,000 planetary objects, and that number would just be a drop in the vast oceans above.
Chances are, something other then the supposed proprietary man will excist.
Time will tell. and that is another story.
We should send simple binary sequences on many bands from the moon by solar power to avoid earthican interference.
Seti@home is a great project, and thanks to the people (like me) who have many spare processors most of which spend their time idle, may as well do something that may help all peoplekind.
i would like to see an upgraded screen with more activity, even if some of it is erroneous.
