Personal background
Hiya all. My name is Connie, and I love running SETI units ! I'm currently running them on 3 computers, one at work, and on my iMac DV Special Edition and a recently acquired iBook at home.

When I'm not running SETI units, I'm surfing the net, chatting with friends online, or engaging in my other hobby, which is dressing in latex/rubber fashion. Yes, you heard right, latex and rubber. For me this is about being different, doing something not everyone else does. I enjoy it, and no, it's not as sticky and uncomfortable as many people think it is. Besides, rubberists are the most sensual people on earth !
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. I think life may be a cosmic accident, but I think the universe is way too vast a place for this accident to have taken place only once. As to whether 2 intelligent species will ever meet, that's tough to say. I don't know how, if ever, humans will ever make contact, but I like the model offered in the movie "Contact", space travel between distant parts of the universe will happen through worm holes.

I run SETI units mainly to be a part of something larger, to say my computer is part of the single largest distributed computing project undertaken to date.
