I am Jon. I have been building signs in the great white north for four years now, an aside from my education in astronomy, physics and chemistry. I design graphics for vehicles as well. I just turned 31, and I have lost and I have won... live in my own house and have a cat named tia maria, after a drink... I never named it but it is apt for this cat. It is a maine coon. Well now I live at my shop (I have an apartment) and some jerk ran over my cat.
I still drive a supertouring car, like the ones you see on speedvision. It is street legal and not quite as much power as you might expect. I am still working on that. It is currently parked awaiting more modifications and parts, half show car, half race car. Check out www.vinyldrive.com as that site is what has been taking up most of my time nowadays.
For hobbies, I also collect scale race cars, watches, watch movies at home because our local theatre sucks, download music, of course... and go to karate 3 times a week. I have been doing this for a few years. I have participated and learned some kendo, kempo, shotokan and kiokoshin, the last the latest. I should get to the gym more often but never do.
Anyway I can't think of much more to tell you other than my bank account number so you can fleece me, er uh, no.

1. of course. The second part of the question is like predicting the day you die. You know it will happen but you might not be around to know that it happened.
What are the benefits and dangers... Our economic system would change drastically, because we would start selling raw materials to them in exchnge for whatever tech they may have, that is if they land here and say "howdy, trade partner!" Otherwise we would just know that there is more out there than us and dust.
2. of course... Well we can't really send too much data, it would be like trying to play a cd with a record player, it just scratches along and doesn't sound like much. A pulsed signal, very much like a beat of a heart, or a sequential list of primes a la contact, or ?
3. Because this project is needed. It delves into the science, the spirituality and theheart of humanity. We need to find something, proof of other life, ie did god make just us? Or are we going to hang out in seedy bars on tatooine?
It would sure be nice to know.
Suggestions for the project: None at this time...
