Personal background
I was born in and still live in Fayetteville, Tennessee. I work at NASA
Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Married, four kids.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't know if extraterrestrial life exists. We are more likely to find
intelligent life by listening for signs of it than by going out and searching
for it. The biggest danger of discovering intelligent extraterrestrial life is
people somehow using the discovery to further their own selfish agendas. I am
not in favor of a beacon; that's just more RF pollution. I run SETI@home
simply to use up spare CPU cycles. "It's better to wear out than rust out."
