Personal background
I'm a hard-working Administrative Assistant at a large electric utility in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Having worked more than 18 years in this field with a PC monitor in my face from morning til night, I still find computers fascinating and portals of infinite curiousities.

In my spare time, my husband (Joe) and I restore muscle machines....yup, I don't mind a little engine grease under my finger nails! We're working on his and hers 1974 Chevrolet Nova SS - 2 beauties - both with 4-speed manual transmissions - (automatic is so boring).

So when I'm not busy working from 9 to 5 in downtown Toronto (oh, did I mention the great shopping, restaurants and people watching?), I'm out in 'Joe's Garage' either tack clothing a body prior to painting or dismantling a car interior for a frame-off restoration.

This is my life and I LOVE IT!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why yes, of course extraterrestrial life exists. No one really knows when or how we'll discover it - I guess when it's time for us to know, we'll know.

Benefits far outweigh dangers - hey, they gotta be smarter than us if they figure out a way to communicate with such a shameful, wasteful, harmful civilization like ours.

I run Seti@home because it looks so 'techy' on my big monitor at work - like I'm working on something really special. Also, it makes me look important (ya gotta fool some of the people) - besides I love the colours!
