Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Life not from the planet we call Earth? Yes!! As for how and when.... only time will tell. The most oviouse benifits, expanding the human knowlage of the univers. DANGERS??? Well lets see... we have all see independents day, Right?

Beacon?..?..?.. well I guess that would depend on what was sent... If it were a general "Hello, we are human, we seek furter exploration or the univers" then yes, if it were an exacte chemical compound of all materials on earth, NO!!!!

Well to start my understanding of the project is this... I install the program, it conects to the SETI server to download unprosessed Data... then it prosesses the data, when it is complete then it again conects to SETI's serve to upload the Prosessed data and download new unprosessed data... This being said, I think it is a great way to expand the resources of the "United Earth" (haha.. If only we could Unite the earth) and give the people that DO beleive in the SETI project in hole to "Donate" time/ computer power, instead of money that not all of us have to donate.
