| Live in Smithfield, Virginia, am a practicing small animal veterinarian with an eye on the sky. Always wanted to be an astronomer thanks to Carl Sagan, and have been fascinated by SETI since its inception. Great to be actually taking part in the project personally! Hobbies include gaming and reading and obsessing over my SETI program. "The truth is out there." |

| I run SETI at home because I wholeheartedly believe in the possibility of sentient extraterrestrial life. Whether or not we can ever detect it remains to be seen, but what an excellent way to start. It could potentially polarize everything if we could prove there was life out there, as not only the space program but everything we do would maybe tend to focus on making contact and not so much on destroying each other. Maybe I've read "Contact" one too many times, too. |
