Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1a. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? Yes

1b. When and how will humans discover it? Kind of arrogant to think we WILL, don't ya think? Space is VERY big! If advanced civilisation were as plentiful as Star Trek, Babylon 5, etc. would have us believe, we'd have found someone by now. So, I think it's possible to discover it, but the chances are exceedingly small. I do kind of hope I'm wrong on this, though.

1c. What are the possible benefits? Beyond our wildest imagination.

1d. What are the possible dangers? Beyond our wildest imagination.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? See 1d., above.

3a. Why do you run SETI@home? I like the idea of doing real science. Also if someone is out there, I think it would do us good to know about it.

3b. What are your views on the project? Damn the torpedeos, full speed ahead!

3c. Any suggestions? If I think of something, I'll let you know.
