Personal background
Hi I live just east of Cambridge, England. I have always been fascinated by space and the thought that my pc can help search its vastness.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run Seti@home because I would love to find something significant - WOW! The idea of breaking the vast amount of data into small work units for off line processing means millions of smaller less powerful computers can help "pre-digest" the data for the supercomputers, speeding up the analysis.

I think the project is justified as I am sure with the abundance of life and diversity of life on this planet that some will have developed elsewhere. I also think this type of project is now used for other research topics which involve large data sequencing DNA, cancer...

Excellent project, keep sending the work units!
