Personal background
Well I am a Science teacher in the Riverina region of New South Wales.
I am keenly interested in all areas of Science, especially astronomy.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti is a very worthy project from a Human understanding of our position in the universe. However from an eclogical point of view it is a major concern for the long term health of the environment and humanity.

I unquestionably believe that there is other life in the universe. When will it be discovered- probably never. There is too much sky to cover, and the distances are too great.

The transmission of a beacon would be a good idea.
